1926

Gargaliani,Greece

1926 is a deeply personal project that reflects the quiet traces of my grandfather’s life, captured in the details of his old house—a place that no longer exists but whose memory endures through the objects that filled it. The year 1926 marks the birth of my grandfather, and through this project, I seek to honor his legacy by exploring the spaces that once held his presence.

The images focus on the intimate, often overlooked aspects of the house—faded wallpaper, worn furniture, and objects that have stood the test of time. These details, now lost to the world as the house no longer stands, serve as silent witnesses to a past that can only be felt through these photographs. They are fragments of a life that once thrived within these walls, now frozen in time.

The 1926 project is more than just a collection of photographs; it is a meditation on memory, loss, and the enduring nature of personal history. Each image represents a moment in time that was never fully captured but lives on through these fragments—capturing the essence of a home and a man who helped shape who I am today.
